Lemang is traditionally made by cooking sticky rice with coconut milk in a bamboo sleeve over coals. Now, you can make lamang easier like making rice cake. The most delicious lamang eaten with black sticky rice.


Lamang ingredients:



  • White glutinous rice - 1000 grams.
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons.
  • Oil - 4 teaspoons.
  • Lontong mold.
  • Banana leaves, to taste.


tapai ingredients:


  • Black sticky rice - 2 kg.
  • Yeast, which has been mashed - 3 grains.









HOW TO MAKE LAMANG:


  1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it for 1 hour. then lift and drain.
  2. Mix the sticky rice with salt. Stir well.
  3. Put the glutinous rice into the rice cake mold that has been lined with banana leaves. Fill the mold up to 3/4 full to make it solid.
  4. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. then pour oil into it.
  5. Boil lamang for 3-4 hours until cooked. then lift and wait until cool and cut into pieces.
  6. and Lamang is Ready to be served with tapai.




HOW TO MAKE TAPAI:



  1.  Wash the black sticky rice and soak it for 1 hour. then lift and drain.
  2.  Steam the black sticky rice for 1 hour until cooked. Then turn off the heat and let it cool.
  3.  Sprinkle the sticky rice with yeast. then stir until smooth.
  4.  Put the sticky rice into the jar and close it tightly. Leave for 3 days to ferment.
  5.  and tapai is ready to be enjoyed with lamang.
