Anzac biscuits

Dalgano - Australia Food | Anzac biscuits are made from oats, butter, flour, sugar, baking soda, golden syrup, hot water and are often topped with coconut. Anzac Biscuit Dough does not use eggs to make it last longer. This biscuit has a very hard texture, but the taste of this biscuit will not disappoint.

The funny thing is Anzac is an abbreviation of the name of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. It is said that this cake has been around since World War I when many Australian and New Zealand soldiers were sent to Europe to fight. The wives of these soldiers made these biscuits as a snack during the trip to Europe. Anzac Biscuits are one of the halal Australian specialties and are very different from the Polvoron cake from the Philippines.
