Empal Gentong West Java Culinary

Recipes Empal Gentong West Java Culinary
Empal Gentong

Ingredients:

  • 1 Kg of beef deep
  • 600 ml low-fat milk
  • 12 pieces of cayenne pepper, sliced ​​oblique
  • 2 tbsp clove powder
  • 4 cm cinnamon
  • 2 pieces of flower
  • 4 grains of cardamom
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 12 lime leaves
  • 6 cm galangal, bruised
  • 6 lemongrass stalks, bruised
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2.5 L water
  • 6 tsp Royco Beef Broth
  • 4 tbsp Bango Sweet Soy Sauce
  • 6 tbsp vegetable oil

Ground spices:

  • 24 red onions
  • 14 cloves of garlic
  • 14 hazelnuts, roasted
  • 4 tsp coriander, toasted
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 4 cm ginger
  • 2 tbsp turmeric powder

Supplementary material:

  • 6 pieces of rice cake, thickly sliced
  • 12 chives leaves, thinly sliced
  • 4 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons fried red onion, sprinkle
  • 2 limes, halved


How to make Empal Gentong:

  1. Heat the water and boil the beef, add cinnamon, star anise, bay leaves, lime leaves, lemongrass, galangal, and
