Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • 4 tablespoons rotisserie chicken seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons powdered gochugaru (Korean red chili)
  • 3 whole chickens
  • Dough:
  • 2 cups cornstarch
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 teaspoons black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons salt Oil, for frying



Sauce:

  • 1360 grams of gochujang
  • 1360 grams of tomato sauce
  • 402 grams of sugar
  • 236 ml cola
  • 257 ml corn syrup
  • 236 ml soy sauce
  • 436 ml sriracha hot sauce
  • 218 ml white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons red chili
  • 4 tbsp gochugaru fine Korean chili powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic





How to make:
 

  1. First, cook the chicken by mixing salt, chicken rotisserie seasoning, and gochugaru in a bowl. Mix all over the chicken, refrigerate for 24 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 271 degrees Celsius.
  3. Bake the chicken for 2 hours and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  5. Mix cornstarch, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt with 591 ml of water in a bowl until the flavors are mixed.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Once the chicken has cooled, cut each chicken into 10 to 12 pieces. Coat the chicken with a little batter.
  8. Heat the oil to 163 degrees Celsius in a frying pan.

  11. Finally, heat a 24-ounce skillet with the gravy until the sauce is hot.
  12. Slowly add the chicken to the pan and mix it all together until smooth.
  13. Yangnyeom Chicken is ready to serve.
