    Ingredients

    • 100 gr cornstarch
    • 2 tsp cream of tartar
    • 560 ml water
    • To taste strawberry
    • Sugar Syrup Ingredients
    • 580 gr sugar
    • 280 ml water
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice



    How to make Lokum Turkish

    1. Prepare a saucepan, add the sugar syrup ingredients, heat the stove, and stir, evenly stop stirring and cook for 10 minutes or until it boils, set aside
    2. Prepare another pot then add cornstarch, cream of tartar, and water, cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened
    3. Cook for 1 hour, stirring every 5-10 minutes, cook until the mixture is browned then add strawberry flavoring, mix well and then turn off the stove
    4. Put the dough into a container that has been greased with oil and parchment paper, let stand at room temperature for 7-10 hours
    5. Take out the Turkish delight dough then cut into squares according to taste, coat with cornstarch (so it doesn't stick when cutting, sprinkle the cutting board and knife with cornstarch)
