Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 12 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 20 ounces beef stock
  • 10 ounces chicken stock
  • 4 medium size potatoes
  • 1 pack mozzarella cheese
  • Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Right amount of oil
  • Enough water for soaking

How to make French fries:

  1. Cut the potatoes to a thickness of approximately 1 cm
  2. Put it in a bowl and soak it in cold water
  3. Leave it for about an hour
  4. Heat the oil in a wide and large skillet
  5. Then, drain the soaked potatoes on a piece of paper
  6. After the oil is hot, put the potatoes in the cooking oil and cook until the potatoes are cooked, but not yet brown
  7. Remove the potatoes and heat the oil over high heat
  8. After the oil is hot, put the potatoes back in and cook until they turn brown

How to Make the Sauce:

  1. Put the cornstarch in a small bowl, then dissolve it using water
  2. Put the unsalted butter in a saucepan that is being heated over medium heat
  3. Once melted, add all-purpose flour and cook for about five minutes, stirring constantly
  4. Once it turns golden brown, add the beef stock and chicken stock. Then, stir using a whisk and cook until it boils
  5. Add half of the diluted cornstarch and simmer for one minute
  6. If the dough is not too thick, you can add more cornstarch little by little until you get the desired consistency
  7. Add additional pepper and salt to taste




 

How to Make Poutines:

  1. Put the fried potatoes in a large bowl and sprinkle a little salt while they are still warm
  2. Stir until all the potatoes are seasoned with salt
  3. Pour the hot sauce over the fries until they cover most of the surface of the fries
  4. Give small pieces or grated mozzarella cheese on top
  5. Finally, add a little pepper to enhance the taste
  6. Poutine is ready to be enjoyed!
